Nest is a parental-control and device supervision application designed to help parents or legal guardians monitor and manage devices they own or lawfully control. Nest provides features such as application management, usage reporting, content restrictions, schedules, and safety-related notifications.

We are committed to processing personal data lawfully, fairly, transparently, and securely, in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection laws worldwide, including requirements imposed by Google Play Store and Apple App Store policies.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, QUANT Software House acts as the data controller for personal data processed under this Privacy Policy.

3. SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with:

• parent or legal-guardian account registration and management,
• devices registered and supervised through the App (“Monitored Devices”),
• customer support, security, billing (where applicable), and service communications,

The App may only be used by individuals who have legal authority over the devices being supervised.

4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY AND PARENTAL CONSENT

Nest is not a child-directed consumer service.

Where monitoring involves a child or minor under the applicable age threshold (e.g. GDPR, COPPA, or local law), verifiable parental or legal-guardian consent is required before any monitoring or data collection occurs.

Monitoring features are disabled by default and are only activated after the parent or guardian completes the mandatory in-app consent flow.

Parents or guardians may review, modify, or withdraw consent at any time through the App or by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent may limit or disable monitoring features.

5. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS

We apply strict data-minimization principles and collect only what is necessary to provide the App’s functionality.

• System notifications generated by Nest
  Internal events such as “app blocked” or “limit reached”.

  Platform identifiers (e.g. Android ID, instance ID, push notification token) used solely for device linking, authentication, and notification delivery.
• Aggregated usage metrics
  Summaries such as daily screen time or app-category totals.

5.2 Data Collected from Parents / Account Owners

7. ACCESSIBILITY, SYSTEM PERMISSIONS, AND PLATFORM DECLARATIONS

7.1 Accessibility Service

Nest may use the Android Accessibility Service to enforce parental controls in real time.

This service is used only to:

• Edetect foreground apps or domains,
• block restricted apps or websites,
• measure usage duration,
• display blocking interfaces.

Nest does not read message content, typed text, passwords, or screen content beyond what is required for blocking and identification.

Consent is explicitly requested in-app and may be withdrawn in system settings.

7.2 Usage Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)

Used where available to obtain accurate per-app usage duration for parental reporting.

7.3 Device Admin / Device Owner

Nest may use Device Admin functionality to prevent unauthorized removal and to enforce restrictions configured by the parent.

Remote wipe or destructive actions are never performed without explicit parent initiation.

7.4 Display Over Other Apps

Used solely to present blocking or notification screens.

7.5 VPN Declaration

Nest does not implement or rely on a local or full VPN, does not intercept encrypted traffic, and does not inspect web content via VPN mechanisms.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We use vetted service providers acting under strict contractual obligations, including:

• Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers
• Push-notification services
• Customer-support platforms
• Payment processors (where applicable)

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs and do not sell personal data.

9. PAYMENTS AND BILLING

Where paid features are offered, payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

Nest does not store raw payment card data. Payment providers’ own privacy notices apply.
